Your State Representative

I have been fortunate and humbled to have been elected to serve as the State Representative in the 18th Worcester District since 2014. Before that, I served as Chief of Staff to then Representative Peter Durant, who has since been elected to the MA Senate.

As a Rep, I have served on numerous Committees, most notably on House Ways and Means, where I am the Assistant Ranking Minority Member, Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, where I am the Ranking Minority member and have served for 10 years, and House Post Audit & Oversight.

While I have played a role in many pieces of legislation, I am most proud of having co-authored two pieces that were adopted into law: The creation of a Massachusetts Rare Disease Advisory Council, and the creation of a Foster Parents Bill of Rights.

In addition to the legislative work, my office, led by my fantastic Aide Lori Joubert, works tirelessly to provide exceptional constituent services. State Representatives are elected not only to legislate, but also to advocate for the constituents whom they represent and to serve as their liaison to state government and state bureaucracy. As your Representative I have worked hard to be accessible, to be open and honest, and to be an advocate for the residents of Webster, Douglas, Sutton, Oxford and Uxbridge.

Education & Background

Before my time with Representative Durant, I attended Bentley University, graduating from the Bentley Honors Program with a BS in Economics and Finance. That education led me to work as a financial professional where I met countless individuals simply trying to make ends meet. They entrusted me with financial and other personal information, and I saw the difficult financial positions that many people were in.

I am a product of Massachusetts public schools. I am the proud recipient of a public K-12 education, and I believe that our teachers and administrators do more with less every day. They are some of the brightest unsung heroes of our communities and will always have my full support.
